Bonita Springs fence installation
Bonita Springs runs from Gulf-side neighborhoods near Bonita Beach Road to quiet streets along the Imperial River and large communities like Bonita Bay and Pelican Landing. Each setting calls for a different fence, and the city has specific rules for front yards and for fences near water.
We've worked through the area's storm years with homeowners rebuilding after Irma's river flooding in 2017 and Ian's surge in 2022. Our approach is simple: choose materials that handle water and salt air, set every post in concrete, and build to the city's rules the first time.
Fence types
Open fencing near the water, privacy where you need it.
Best for river, lake and Gulf-side lots. It meets open-fence rules near water and won't rust.

Permits
The City of Bonita Springs issues its own fence permits. Here are the rules that shape most designs:
In the street setback area, fences can be 3 feet, or 4 feet if the fence is open and stays clear of the driveway visibility area.
Within 25 feet of a river, canal or lake, the fence has to be open above 3½ feet. That's why aluminum is so common along the Imperial River.
Height is measured from existing grade, and any fill raised above the street's average grade counts toward the fence height.
We handle the city permit and, if you're in an HOA, give you the details your association needs for its approval.
Local conditions
The Imperial River stayed high for days after Hurricane Ian, and Ian's surge reached Bonita Beach Road. Water and wind are the two things a Bonita fence has to handle.
Aluminum and vinyl don't rot or rust when floodwater comes through, unlike untreated wood or steel.
Every post is set deep in concrete for the height of your fence, so it stays put in saturated soil.
We build pool fences to Florida code, with self-closing, self-latching gates.
