Lee County · North of the river
From canal homes off Hancock Bridge Parkway to larger lots north toward the county line, we install aluminum, vinyl, wood and chain link fences across North Fort Myers. We pull the Lee County permit and back every job with a 2-year workmanship warranty.
North Fort Myers fence installation
North Fort Myers is home to more than 42,000 people, and its properties vary widely: canal-front homes off the Caloosahatchee, established neighborhoods and 55+ communities, and larger parcels with room for horses and gardens farther north.
It's all unincorporated Lee County, so fence permits go through the county, and the county's waterfront rules apply to every canal lot. We plan your fence to fit both the property and those rules.
Fence types
The right fence depends on whether you're on the water, in a community or on acreage.
Best for canal lots, where the fence must be open above 3½ feet within 25 feet of the water.

Side and rear fences can be 6 feet. Front-yard fences can be 3 feet, or 4 feet if the fence is open.
Within 25 feet of the water, the fence must be open above 3½ feet. On a seawalled canal, it can sit landward of the seawall.
On agricultural land, open or wire farm fence can be up to 8 feet along property lines.
We draw the site plan, including easements and water setbacks, and pull the permit for you.
